In this session we will explore some of the elements of deep communication with students. In a world “addicted” to busy-ness, performance, words and achievement, we will reflect upon the power of mindfulness, meditation, story, symbol and service to engage with each other at the deepest level. The journey from self-discovery (“my story”), to group identity (“our story”), to universal and inclusive awareness (“THE story”) will be examined. The value of journaling in this process will be reinforced. A highlight will be the modelling of some of these practices on stage between students and staff.
